1. What We Collect

Authentication Data (via Clerk)

When you create an account or sign in, Clerk collects your email address, name, and authentication credentials. Predict Panda receives a user identifier from Clerk to associate your session with your data. We do not store your password.

User-Generated Data (via Supabase)

If you have a Pro subscription, your subscription status is stored in our Supabase database alongside your Clerk user ID. We do not store personal financial information in Supabase.

Local Storage Data

Watchlists, portfolio simulation picks, and notification preferences are stored entirely in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.

Billing Data (via Stripe)

If you subscribe to Pro, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not see or store your credit card number or payment details. We receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status from Stripe.

Usage Logs

Standard web server logs may be collected by our hosting provider (Vercel). These may include IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for debugging and security purposes.

2. How We Use Your Data

To authenticate you and maintain your session
To determine your subscription tier and unlock Pro features
To process billing and manage your subscription via Stripe
To send transactional emails (e.g., billing receipts) via Resend
To improve the reliability and performance of the service

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not collect or analyze any real financial activity Predict Panda is a simulation and analytics tool only.

3. Data Retention

Authentication data is retained by Clerk for as long as your account exists. You can delete your Clerk account at any time through the account portal.

Subscription data in Supabase is retained for as long as your account is active. On account deletion request, this data is removed.

Local storage data persists on your device until you clear your browser storage or uninstall the browser. This data is not on our servers.

Stripe retains billing records as required by applicable financial regulations.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Predict Panda:

Resend Transactional email delivery.

5. Market Data Sources

Predict Panda displays market data from Polymarket, Kalshi, Manifold Markets, and Metaculus via their public APIs. This market data is not personal data. We do not transmit any personal information to these platforms.

6. No Financial Data Collected

Predict Panda is an analytics and simulation tool. We do not collect real trading activity, real portfolio positions, real financial account information, or any information about real money wagered on prediction markets. Portfolio simulation data is stored only in your browser's local storage.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Export or download your data
Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (managed by Clerk). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in.

9. Children

Predict Panda is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us and we will remove the account.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the app. Continued use of Predict Panda after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
